Chartered in 1955, Kempsville Lodge No. 196, A.F. & A.M. is one of the largest and most active Masonic Lodges in Virginia. In addition to the Masonic Lodge, we're the home of the Kempsville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bethel 42 International Order of Job's Daughters, and the Kempsville Chapter of the Order of DeMolay.

Passing of Worshipful Gerald Thomas Hallal
It is with much sadness that we report the passing of Worshipful Gerald Thomas Hallal to the Celestial Lodge on April 17, 2024.
Worshipful Hallal joined Kempsville Lodge 2008, was a Legacy Member in Perpetuity, and served as its Worshipful Master in 2013.
Brother Jerry was an active and vital member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge No. 196. He was a true Mason in every sense of the word and will be dearly missed.
His service will be Tuesday April 23rd, 7:00pm, at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church 848 Baker Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
Masonic Rites have been requested. Brethren are asked to assemble at the church at 6:30pm.
